In this session, CLEAR National Lead Dr John Jeans had a conversation with Dr Aji Djamali from Maine Health comparing the healthcare challenges here and in the US.

Maine Health is a US not-for-profit integrated health system with 22,000 employees that provides preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment to 1.1 million residents in Maine and New Hampshire. Maine Medical Centre was recognised as the Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News and World Report for 2021/22. It is the state’s largest medical centre, licensed for 700 beds with 9,600 staff.  As a non-for-profit institution, it provides nearly 23 percent of all the charity care delivered in Maine.
