Background
Unique opportunity to innovate care using data analytics
The National CLEAR Programme for Anticipatory Care is recruiting Associates to join the programme for a 6-month, part time position to perform redesign work within a Primary Care Network.
CLEAR is a work-based learning initiative supported by NHS England, NHS Improvement and Health Education England and delivered by 33n, a group of NHS clinicians and data scientists. The Programme is designed in a way to teach clinicians how to perform redesign work and develop a multidisciplinary capability, which is delivered in parallel to performing actual workforce redesign projects within the NHS.
This programme is supporting the development of Anticipatory Care approaches across Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs). Anticipatory Care is designed to support those patients who are at high risk of unwarranted health outcomes to live well and independently for longer, through structured proactive care. This supports the prevention of ill health in line with the NHS Long Term Plan, with the ambition that people will be able to enjoy at least five extra healthy, independent years of life by 2035. CLEAR will equip clinicians with the knowledge, skills, and experience to take the lead on transformation and workforce redesign projects within PCNs/ICSs alongside their clinical practice.
About the role
The CLEAR Associate role is an initial six–month, part-time commitment (approx. 2 days a week) where you will be involved in qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform workforce and model of care redesign. As a CLEAR Associate, you will primarily spend your time working as part of a project team to deliver workforce transformation for anticipatory care which will inform national policy.
In this role you will be supported by a targeted education programme delivered through a virtual learning environment, allowing you to engage with this from any location within the UK. You will be supported through supervision from a local and National CLEAR Faculty to help you develop your work and ideas. Throughout this process you will be engaged with other CLEAR Associates nationally, to share your learning, shape ideas and foster the CLEAR culture of shared learning.
As an associate you will take part in a 24-week educational programme, split into four key phases, which will teach you the fundamentals of using data and engagement for workforce and activity modelling. Taking part in CLEAR will contribute to your portfolio career, providing you with new tools and techniques allowing you to apply your learnings to future transformation projects.
Applicants will need to be intellectually curious and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration in a fast-moving work environment.
The closing date for applications will be 5pm Friday 12 November 2021. We envision a flexible start date of early 2022, more detail will be given on application.
