Empowering staff to innovate care

Clinically-Led workforcE and
Activity Redesign (CLEAR)

The National CLEAR Programme supports clinicians and organisations to deliver transformation and workforce redesign projects to enhance patient care.

Clinicians from the CLEAR national team equip frontline staff  with skills in data analysis, innovation and leadership to drive change or they carry out innovation projects on behalf of organisations with extensive clinical engagement.

Designed by NHS clinicians for NHS clinicians, CLEAR is supporting the NHS across key priority areas including urgent and emergency care, elective recovery, mental health, primary care and ophthalmology.

Introducing our new 2024 webinar series

We’re delighted to unveil our new CLEAR webinar series when many of those involved in our transformation projects will be sharing the learning and impact of their work.

The monthly webinars will be discussing the challenges they were facing and how they designed innovative new models of care to make their services more sustainable.

Integral to the CLEAR programme is its methodology which has four key elements – clinical engagement, data interrogation, innovation, and recommendations. This results in recommended new models of care and workforce designed to improve patient care, efficiency, and staff experience.

The National CLEAR Programme is sponsored by NHS England, regions and systems.
It is delivered by East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and 33n – a team of NHS clinicians, education specialists and data scientists.

message

“The CLEAR team have worked intensively with us on major areas of ophthalmology to collate enormous volumes of data on our current working practices and use this to devise improved models of working. The entire process has been clinically led and 100% engaged with the clinicians and has been thorough, productive, constructive, but also enjoyable”
